With the sun’s intense heat comes the seriousness of an element that becomes very important to the success of each political party: campaigning. Campaigning officially began with all the 11 political parties setting up stalls in the Audi Block, amidst the tumultuous yet mammoth campus building of Christ (Deemed to be University), Bannerghatta Road Campus.

A GLIMPSE
Most of the political parties had a unique way of promoting their ideologies in front of the gathered audience. The display of eyes and ears along with the removal of the strategic curtain shows the transparency that each political party aims to achieve and how they put the interests of the people at the core axiom of their functioning. People Empowering Social Transformation (P.E.S.T) discovered an innovative way to attract the crowd. They let the august gathering spray red point over cut-outs of insects posted on the party board and connected that specific activity with their core ideology and mission and vision statements. Their vigor of showing interactivity through a sense of mixing with the public and decentralizing the approach of their manifesto, so that it was easier to consume, P.E.S.T had the most engaging stall among their fellow competitors. The crowd, too, showed enthusiasm, through their participation in the various activities PEST absolved on their audience to associate with, and overall, it was a fun time spent! (from both perspectives). INQUILAB, the party whose epitome of their principles characterized the personality of the great freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh, stood firm and assertive with their ideological stance. They were completely composed under any aggressive attempt at making any negative connotations, connected with the inherent policy outcomes they want to achieve. Apart from attracting a strong yet inquisitive group of minds, INQUILAB established itself as a political party that can have an influence over the opinions of the people by their characterization of humane version of societal problems and providing a solution for the same. JSRP (Jana Samveda Rakshaka Paksha) had their Prime Ministerial Candidate carrying out the campaigns and he was the busiest of them all. His personality alone was enough in making a crowd of people stand in front of their stall and listen patiently to the core ideas reflected in their party manifesto and what they wanted to achieve if they came in power. The Progressive Conservative Party with their belief of “Progressive in Purpose” and “Conservative by nature” looked like Will Smith in ‘Men In Black” and their campaign, similarly, provided a slap on the face to the arguments against the party manifesto, being raised. They explained their ideas and their statements, which were well structured and they too seemed to be well versed with, in a simple yet impactful way, thus categorizing the audience into their list of priorities and what makes their party stand out. IURP (Indian United Republic Party) had a year of campaigning to forget since their level of interaction with the crowd was not very lively and their members tried their best to shift the attention of the crowd from their bleak presentation to the reforms listed in their manifesto. Last but not least, the BAP (Bhartiya Awaaz Party) were the concluding party to set up their stall and the use of visual aid like logos, charts were important enough in conveying their party message to the audience. The crowd remained hooked and were interested to know more about their party and goals.
The overall turnout at the campaigns were decent and the prime objective to which it was implemented had a successful influence over the audience as the political parties seemed confident enough about their party manifesto, and seemed enthusiastic to new ideas and questions.
